Abu Dhabi creates 5,000 new healthcare jobs for Emiratis

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Department of Health has announced that by the end of 2025, 5,000 new jobs will be created for state cadres, including doctors, nurses and allied health professionals, as well as administrative cadres.

The move is in line with the ministry’s efforts to support the Emiratization initiative of the emirate’s health sector, provide it with an efficient and professional Emirati medical cadre, and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global healthcare destination.

The department, which is the regulatory body for the healthcare sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, called on all healthcare institutions in the emirate to achieve the goal of emiratization by retaining and increasing the emiratization rate of their health and administrative cadres.

The ministry is working closely with healthcare providers in the emirate to increase the rate of emiratization of medical professionals, including doctors, paramedics and allied health professionals, as well as administration in areas such as information technology, human resources, accounting and finance, legal personnel affairs and others.

Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department, said: “As directed by our wise leadership, Abu Dhabi’s healthcare institutions have implemented the goal of Emiratization to strengthen national capacity for contribute to the healthcare system and build a competitive knowledge-based economy in the emirate.”

It also aligns with the ministry’s efforts to provide national talent for the healthcare sector to achieve the Emiratization agenda of the health workforce and ensure its sustainability.
