International experts and policymakers highlight green hydrogen’s potential to support global net-zero goals ahead of UAE host COP28 later this year

The Green Hydrogen Summit is organized in partnership with the Hydrogen Council, the Atlantic Council, the International Renewable Energy Agency and Dii Desert Energy.
ADSW organizer Masdar announced in December the launch of its new green hydrogen business to support the UAE’s green hydrogen economy. Masdar’s green hydrogen business aims to produce up to 1 million tonnes of green hydrogen per year by 2030. Masdar has been actively involved in several projects related to green hydrogen production, including entering into a joint development agreement with major Egyptian state-backed organizations to build a green hydrogen production plant, with the goal of having an electrolyzer capacity of 4 GW by 2030 and producing green hydrogen annually 480,000 tons.

Masdar’s Youth in Sustainability Platform will host the Y4S Hub this week, aiming to reach 3,000 young people, alongside Masdar’s Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) Platform annual forum, Giving women a greater voice in the sustainability debate.
