Abu Dhabi Tashkent Flights: Etihad Launches Daily Direct Service

Etihad Airways has launched its new Abu Dhabi Tashkent flights, creating a direct connection between the UAE capital and Uzbekistan’s largest city.

The airline celebrated the arrival of its inaugural flight in Tashkent on August 11, marking the start of a new daily non-stop service between Zayed International Airport and Tashkent International Airport. The route is being operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.

The new service gives travellers in Uzbekistan direct access to Abu Dhabi and Etihad’s wider international network. Passengers travelling through Abu Dhabi can connect to destinations across Europe, North America, the GCC and the Levant.

The route also strengthens air links between the UAE and Uzbekistan. Etihad said the new connection is expected to support tourism, trade and business ties between the two countries.

The launch comes after Etihad and Uzbekistan Airways introduced a codeshare partnership. The agreement allows travellers to access more destinations across Uzbekistan through connections with Uzbekistan Airways, while Etihad passengers can benefit from additional connectivity beyond Tashkent.

For UAE residents, the new route provides another direct option for travelling to Uzbekistan. Tashkent is known for its historic architecture, cultural attractions and position as an important business centre in Central Asia.

The launch also forms part of Etihad’s wider expansion from Abu Dhabi, as the airline continues adding destinations and strengthening the capital’s role as an international aviation hub.
