Abu Dhabi University and Sky News Arab Academy prepare future media professionals

The academy will also offer short training courses in media-related fields for ADU students and staff.

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and sky news arab academy (SNAA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate to provide students in the School of Arts and Sciences with the comprehensive knowledge, understanding and skills to help them excel in the field of mass communication.

The main purpose of the MoU is to train future media professionals in the fields of television, radio, digital and creative media production and enhance their communication skills in Abu Dhabi and the region.

The MoU was signed in the presence of ADU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ghassan Aouad, ADU Dean of Arts and Sciences Dr Sreethi Nair and Sky News Arab Academy’s Nart Bouran.

To ensure a well-rounded academic experience for its students and staff, ADU will promote SNAA’s high-quality training and certification programs. In addition, ADU staff will provide counseling services to students of the College.

In partnership with SNAA, ADU will enhance its curriculum in the field of mass communication by incorporating college modules into the university curriculum to enhance students’ knowledge and skills. In addition, SNAA will provide ADU College of Arts and Sciences students with internship opportunities and industry exposure by inviting expert speakers to lead panel discussions at the University and organizing field trips to its facilities. The academy will also offer short training courses in media-related fields for ADU students and staff.

Commenting on the project, Professor Ghassan Aouad, Rector of Abu Dhabi University, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious partner as Sky News Arabia Academy.
