‘Arab Role in COP28 Climate Efforts Highlighted’

Jamal Jaballah, Former Plenipotentiary Minister of the Arab League and Former Coordinator of the Arab Negotiating Group on Climate Change, praised the UAE for hosting COP28, a significant global gathering.

He highlighted the UAE’s expertise and vital role within the Arab negotiating group. Hosting COP27 and COP28 respectively, Egypt and the UAE underscore Arab nations’ commitment to addressing climate change and contributing to practical solutions.

Jaballah expressed optimism about the Arab negotiating group’s role in overcoming obstacles and addressing challenges in collaboration with the international community.

He also noted the increasing risks of earthquakes, floods, famines, and droughts, emphasizing the need for global efforts to find solutions to these issues.
