According to reports, the authorities are reviewing body camera footage showing two Dayton, Ohio policemen dragging a black paraplegic from the car he was driving. The graphic event occurred on September 30th and began when traffic stopped.

According to Revolt, Clifford Owensby Hand over his information To the police officers, this allowed them to obtain past drug use records. At this time, the police ordered him to get out of the car. Clifford refused to explain that he was unable to walk due to paraplegia. If you don’t know, paraplegia means that you have lost the muscle function of your lower body, including your legs.

A police officer then offered to help him get out of the car. Clifford immediately disagreed with this idea, saying “No, you are not” and “Don’t touch me”, and at the same time asked the officer’s supervisor.

According to his tone in the video, the same police officer seemed to become upset. He threatened to drag Clifford out of the car.

“That’s the way it is, I will pull you out, and then I will tell you to wear a white shirt,” the police officer replied. “Because you want to get off the car. That’s not an option. You want to get off the car, so you can get off the car together, otherwise I will drag you out of the car. Do you see your two choices here?”

Soon after, two police officers used their arms and bodies to force Clifford out of the car.

“What are you all doing,” Clifford asked clearly distressed. “I am a paraplegic brother, you can hurt me.”

The police dragged Clifford from the car and threw him to the ground. When he called for help, two police officers tried to handcuff him.Once handcuffed, he was dragged to police car.

One of Clifford’s sneakers seems to be missing. In the video, another police officer threw a sneaker at the car Clifford was driving. His trousers were lowered to the ankles.

Just like he warned the police, it was alleged that Clifford was indeed injured as a result of the interaction, including abrasions and another back injury. In the process of putting on the handcuffs, according to the body camera lens, a police officer pressed his knee to Clifford’s lower back.

Dayton police now say that the traffic stop is part of a drug investigation and they are cooperating with the Professional Standards Bureau.

The Dayton Police said in a statement: “We ask the public to be patient when gathering all the facts so that we can clearly understand what happened and why it happened in order to make informed decisions and continue to improve services.”
