Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites and La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartments have appointed Georges Farhat as Cluster General Manager.
With nearly 30 years of industry experience and strong operational, interpersonal and commercial expertise, Farhat is ideally positioned to continue to deliver new results in his new role overseeing the management and operations of these two properties.
Farhat joins Minor Hotels to lead the successful opening of Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites during the global pandemic. Since then, he has successfully positioned it as a standout property in the city, delivering record figures for two consecutive years.
During this time, the hotel has received several awards and accolades, including the 2022 Green Growth Platinum Award, the 2022 World Luxury Hotel Awards for Luxury Urban Serviced Apartments, the 2023 Hotel Industry Leadership Award for Best Hotel Sanitation Practice, the Hotelier Middle East Hotel Team Award 2022; achieve HACCP certification within six months of opening; and contribute to a green initiative that reduces 250,000 plastic bottles per year.
The hotel is poised to open new facilities in 2023, including flexible meeting rooms, an exclusive Avani Club and Lebanese-inspired restaurant La Sirene, reinforcing the brand’s promise of a stylish urban destination in one of Dubai’s most sought-after cities and modern comforts – back area.
In addition to his role at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites, Farhat will manage the complete refurbishment and transformation of La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartments, which will become an NH Collection landmark hotel by the end of the year. The property has 265 rooms, suites and one, two and three bedroom apartments. The hotel offers a wide range of facilities including an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge, kids club, meeting space, gym, tennis courts and leisure spaces, as well as retail areas available for rent.
