Celebrities urge peace in Israel-Palestine

Prominent celebrities, including Bono, Gigi Hadid, Madonna, and others, have expressed their concerns over the conflict between Hamas’s attack and Israel’s bombardment of Gaza.

During their Las Vegas residency, U2’s frontman, Bono, altered the lyrics to “Pride (In the Name of Love),” calling on the audience to sing for the victims of the Supernova festival attacked by Hamas.

Madonna posted a video on Instagram, expressing her heartbreak over the violence and emphasizing that conflicts cannot be resolved through violence.

Model Gigi Hadid, with Palestinian heritage, supported the Palestinian cause but urged against harm to any individual, emphasizing the need for a peaceful approach.

Renowned conductor Daniel Barenboim, who has campaigned for peace in the region, strongly condemned the Hamas attack while expressing concerns about the collective punishment policy in Gaza.

Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress known for her role as “Wonder Woman,” expressed solidarity with Israel and called for global attention to the ongoing acts of terror.

Oscar-winner Viola Davis emphasized the importance of empathy and criticized the dehumanization propagated by both sides in the conflict.
