Film screenings, local filmmakers showcases and guest speaker panels will be held as part of the Central Coast Entertainment Expo, a two-day event at Clark Center on Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th. Arroyo Grande’s performing arts.
The first day of the fair will feature a special welcome reception at 5pm, followed by the Central Coast showcase at 6.30pm. The showcase highlights films made by local filmmakers as well as high school students from SLO, Morro Bay, and Santa Barbara County. Films from Alan Hancock College and Caltech students will also be featured in the presentation, which will run until 9 p.m. and conclude with an awards ceremony.
The second day of the expo will include several events, including some running concurrently. A selection of two demos will begin at 11 a.m. in different areas of the Clark Center: a screenwriting workshop and a hands-on demo.

At 2:30 p.m., the Women of Walt Disney Imagineering—a special panel of guest speakers—will begin. Speakers will include Central Coast resident Karen Connolly Armitage, Disney’s theme park concept designer for 26 years. Her career highlights include designing theater spaces, shops, restaurants and other areas for Disneyland in California, Florida, Tokyo and Paris.
