“Jeves Steps In”

Roswell Community Little Theater at 1717 S. Union Ave. presents the comedy “Jeeves Intervenes.” Down-on-his-luck playboy Bertie Wooster and his old classmate Eustace Bassington-Bassington throw 1920s high society into chaos. The two devise a brilliant plan to trick their nosy relatives in order to save Bertie from an unexpected marriage and Eustace from an unwelcome job in India. But can the ever-faithful servant Jeeves free the bumbling fools from himself? American Legion Post 61 will commemorate four World War II priests who gave their lives in February 1943, saving many soldiers aboard the troop carrier Dorchester. Chavez County Veterans Symposium

Veterans are invited to attend the Chavez County Veterans Seminar at the National Guard Armory (1 W. Earl Cummings Loop) from 8 am to 5 pm. The event kicks off with a display of colors at 9 am. From 10 a.m. to noon, the PACT Act Town Hall is held with representatives from VA Healthcare, VA Regional Offices and New Mexico Veterans with Disabilities. At noon, the New Mexico State Military Goss Rifles performed. Special presentation on survivor benefits at 1 p.m. Services offered throughout the day: Veterans Property Tax Exemption/Exemption Clinic, Claims Clinic, Goodwill Industry, Local Chavez County Veterans Organizations, Veterans Health Care Services and Veterinarians Center, Women Veterans Program, Veterans Home Loans, Senior Services, and more. ENMU-R Foundation Golf Tournament

The ENMU-Roswell Foundation will host the 20th annual golf tournament at the New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course. The game will start at 8:00 am with shotgun. Proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the foundation’s General Excellence Fund. The team’s total handicap should be at least 40. Event, corporate and hole sponsorships are also available. Teams not related to sponsorship will be accepted on a waitlist basis.Team and sponsorship forms are posted on the campus website enmu.edu. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and the players closest to the pins. Additional sweepstakes will also be held. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Artistic Nano!Arts and Culture Day

Artistic Nano! Arts & Culture Days is a community celebration of arts and culture presented by Creative New Mexico, an arts advocacy organization in New Mexico, hosted by the Roswell Museum during its monthly second Saturday event. This year’s theme is “Arts Sprung Up in New Mexico.” The event includes hands-on art activities and interactive performances for kids and adults. Susan Cooper’s colorful mixed-media exhibition “Session 50” includes new installations celebrating the past 50 years since she was Roswell Artist-in-Residence (RAiR) and works from various periods Way.
