There have been no reports of injuries, but there have been at least three incident reports of the blender blades falling off during use. According to the CPSC, in one of the incidents, the blade pierced the blender container (US Consumer Product Safety Commission).
This compact blender is sold nationwide and online at a variety of retailers, including Crate & Barrel, amazon, Macy’s, Cole’sand other specialty stores, from November 2021 to August 2022, for about $80.
Cuisinart’s parent company, Conair, advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled device’s blender part (the model number can be found on the bottom of the base and on the original packaging) and to contact the company for a free replacement blade assembly. Consumers will receive instructions on how to properly install the replacement blade, no special tools required.
Cuisinart recommends that customers complete the Online Recall Registration Form Or call the company toll-free at (877) 339-2534 between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM EST.Monday to Friday.
