The Abu Dhabi Commercial Court ordered a company to pay AED 34,665 to an insurance company that issued 20 insurance policies for the respondent’s vehicle against loss, damage and civil liability.

The company did not pay the amount based on the report of the consultant appointed to investigate the case file.

Specifically, an insurance company filed a lawsuit against a company, claiming that the company was obliged to pay it Dhs34,665 and pay legal interest of 12% per annum from the date of filing the lawsuit until it was paid in full. pay.

The appellant company explained that it had insured loss, damage and civil liability insurance for the appellee’s vehicle, but failed to pay the corresponding amount.

The court clarified that the consultancy expert’s report proved that the insurance company had issued 20 policies, but the appellant company had not paid their value of Dhs34,665.

The court explained that it was satisfied with the expert’s report that, apart from the fact that the company under appeal did not provide evidence that it cleared the sums itself, the court was obliged to pay the insurance company Dhs34,665 plus 5% interest annually from the date of filing the suit until Full payment.
