[ad_1]

Culture Collison 12, a free arts and culture showcase happy hour, returns on September 21st at the Jefferson Center for the Performing Arts in Metairie.

The gathering of local nonprofits that promote arts and culture is free and open to the public. More than 60 suppliers will be on hand to provide information on their programming and seasonal offerings, some with live entertainment.

The event takes place at the Metairie Center for the Performing Arts at 6400 Airline Drive from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. The last culture clash was August 2019.

“Beginning in 2008, Culture Collision’s goal has been to introduce a variety of arts and cultural events to people across the metropolitan area,” said Paul Maassen, general manager of organizer WWNO 89.9 FM. “WWNO is excited that Culture Collision 2022 will fulfill this mission and highlight our region’s newest investment in the arts, the Jefferson Center for the Performing Arts.”

The center is now run by the Jefferson Society for the Performing Arts, looking to expand their presence in the area.
