Police say they have detained the “prime suspect” in the killing of four Muslim men in New Mexico’s largest city.
The Albuquerque Police Chief announced the update on Twitter on Tuesday.
Chief Harold Medina said police found a vehicle that investigators believe was linked to the deaths over the past nine months.
We tracked down a vehicle believed to be linked to the recent murder of a Muslim man in Albuquerque. The driver was detained and he was the prime suspect in our murder. We will update the media later this afternoon.

“We tracked the vehicle believed to have been involved in the recent murder of a Muslim man in Albuquerque.
“Driver in custody, he is our prime suspect in murder,” the tweet said.

No other information was immediately available.
Police said they would provide an update on Tuesday afternoon.
Naeem Hussain was killed Friday night and three others died in an ambush.
Mr Hussain, 25, is from Pakistan.
His death came just days after the deaths of Muhammad Afzaal Hussain, 27, and Aftab Hussein, 41, also from Pakistan and members of the same mosque.
The earliest case involved the November killing of Mohammad Ahmadi, 62, from Afghanistan.
