DCD and FCA highlight Abu Dhabi’s family well-being plan

The Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi (DCD), in collaboration with the Family Care Authority (FCA), held a media event to spotlight the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy and the services provided by the authority.

The event was attended by prominent leaders from both organizations, including Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the DCD, and Dr. Bushra Al Mulla, Director-General of the Family Care Authority. Dr. Al Khaili emphasized the leadership’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for citizens and resident families and underscored the importance of focusing on families as the nucleus of society.

The Family Care Authority plays a vital role in achieving the strategy’s goals, providing essential services for families in Abu Dhabi. The DCD Under-Secretary, Hamad Al Dhaheri, highlighted the strategy’s comprehensive approach to improving family well-being, with a focus on various aspects of family life.

Dr. Al Mulla explained the FCA’s services, which encompass social and psychological counseling, integration programs, caregiver support, emergency assistance, and temporary shelter, addressing a range of social issues, including family disputes and challenges faced by children, juveniles, and vulnerable groups.
