Dewa, Sungrow explore clean energy tech adoption

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), met with a high-level delegation from Sungrow, a leading global supplier of inverter and energy storage solutions. They discussed market trends and the importance of renewable energy in the region. Led by Chairman Cao Renxian, the delegation explored potential collaborations to promote clean energy adoption in the UAE and beyond.

During the meeting, Al Tayer highlighted Dewa’s pioneering clean energy projects, including solar photovoltaic systems, Concentrated Solar Power (CSP), green hydrogen production, and pumped-storage hydroelectric power in Hatta. The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, Dewa’s flagship project, is the world’s largest single-site solar park, aligned with Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and Net Zero Emissions Strategy 2050.

Renxian emphasized Sunglow’s expertise in providing innovative energy solutions. They have implemented numerous projects worldwide, contributing significantly to the global shift towards sustainable energy sources.
