Explain the background of you and the company in detail.

I’m the founder and CEO of 360Moms, an award-winning bilingual mobile application providing parents with tools to help solve their everyday challenges and concerns. With 19 years of experience, I was previously the “Head of the Creative Team” in the Middle East and Africa at Yahoo. Prior to that, I was also an Art Director at multinational advertising agencies.

Having a career in design before starting a business made me very detail-oriented. In addition, it helped me work well under pressure and be creative in my way of thinking.

In life and work, I’m a positive person, a go-getter and someone who doesn’t take no for an answer! So I keep exploring solutions until I find the right one.

I have two wonderful children; Hashem and Sanad. I love reading, sketching, working out, and spending time with my kids in my free time.

What are your goals?

360Moms’ vision is to be the first digital personal assistant to mothers in their everyday lives. We strive to revolutionize the digital support offered to mothers, empowering them to build happy and successful families.

What do you feel is the biggest strength of yourself/company right now?

We are the first parenting and health mobile application to personalize the user experience and offer 360 degrees support; whether it’s about connecting mothers with doctors/certified experts that could help with their everyday challenges, bringing them the latest updates about their children’s health, or offering them the best discounts they could find– we are supporting them every step of the way.

On another note, our team’s strong expertise in building interactive mobile applications, creating an easy user experience and strong content is what makes 360Moms a strong player and a leader in the vision of mothers’ support.

What was the path you/your company took to get to where you are today?

Our path was very difficult. It’s because we started as an expertise content-based company. Everybody knows how hard this road is. We have pivoted into a tools-based company that offers the right tools to parents using machine learning to personalize the experience and cater to each other’s unique challenges and needs.

Why did you start (or want to be the head of) this company?

It all started after I had my second son. I experienced challenges with my children’s well-being and felt very frustrated since I couldn’t find any credible sources to give me answers, especially in the Arab Region. I felt HELPLESS and realized that this is a huge problem that not only I’m facing but millions of mothers around the Arab region.

That’s how I found my vision.

What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome?

I would say starting a business without any business background! I had no idea where to start, and back in 2016, there was little support for entrepreneurs and not enough awareness about how to start a business. I needed to research, read, meet experienced entrepreneurs, and attend business courses. I have made many mistakes and learned a lot to get where we are now.

The second challenge would be the difficulty of finding investment, especially for women. Unfortunately,  studies show that women-founded startups in the Middle East and North Africa received only 1.2% of the $2.87 billion across 639 deals in 2021. We need to change that!

Give us one word that describes you the best.

Self-disciplined; when I start something, I’m very dedicated and committed to finishing it to the very end.

What makes you excited about Mondays?

Starting a week with a wonderful team and working on achieving our goals with passion!

What do you value most about your culture and vision?

I love the strong bonds of Arab families; they would do anything for each other. That’s why I love my audience; they are passionate mothers that want the best for their children. 360Moms is there to support them every step of the way.

Tell us about a project that forced you to be innovative and creative.

Like many startups, our marketing budget is limited, so we need to think of creative ways to reach our audience. One of our approaches was to cross-market with brands that catered to an audience that included mothers (not competitors), and this really helped us reach new audiences.

What are the strategies of your company, and how do they stand unique from your competitors?

First, quality is our number one value. We incorporate it in everything we do; brands we work with, content, experts, design, and marketing approach. It’s not about quantity; it’s always about quality.

Second, our customer service is taken very seriously, and we cater to their needs as a team, ensuring each user is left satisfied.

Third, we do everything with passion and love, and I think it shows!

What are the key values that helped you overcome the roadblocks/challenges in your career? Tell us something about your memorable incident in your leadership?

Being positive and strong during difficult times is very important, and it always reflects on the team. Therefore, I organize weekly team meetings where I discuss the good and the bad. In addition, whenever I discuss challenges, I make sure to show them that we can get over them as a team and that we have a clear roadmap to how we can do it and become stronger and more successful.

When Covid hit early 2020, we were under complete lockdown, which definitely caused stress. At that time, I made sure I had daily video chats with the team, bringing passion and creativity into our work. Together, we came up with new approaches that we still use until this day.

How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?

360Moms will be a smart mobile application that relies on Machine learning and Artificial intelligence to cater to each mother’s needs and challenges. It will be the personal digital assistant to over 6 million mothers in the Arab region.

Where is your leadership going? What benefits do your clients get from your company in this competitive world?

As the business expands and we enter a new market, I need to build more win/win strategic partnerships.

Regarding our B2B clients, our relationship with clients is built on honesty, quality and bringing real results.

We ensure to prepare monthly reports and analyze them so we can continue building successful campaigns for our clients.

As for our B2C clients, we constantly work on evolving the user experience and making it easier. As I mentioned earlier, customer service is a top priority for making sure we have happy users.

What are the services/solutions or products offered by your company on par with the current industry standards? Tell us something about your upcoming products or services?

It’s crucial for us to offer a personalized experience to our users. A completely digitized experience that can be easily accessed through their mobile. With one button, they can ask doctors, get access to online health courses, get daily parenting inspirations and save money!
