As the DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City prepares to open, the hotel is hiring for key roles, with some senior roles already filled by women, with Emirates playing a key role in team building.
Positions such as Director of Operations, Front Office Manager, Head of Marketing, HR Diversity and Inclusion Officer, GC&E Sales Manager and Executive Officer are all filled by women who are experts in their roles. Additionally, visitors to the hotel will be greeted by Doaa Mustafa, who is in charge of the hotel’s doors, making her one of the few women in the UAE to hold this position.
“When recruiting the team for the DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City, we wanted to make sure we were diverse in terms of nationalities and genders,” says Vikram Jamwal, general manager of the hotel. “We wanted to reflect what the people of the UAE are and I feel like we’ve done that; they’re building a new community with their teammates as we prepare to open our doors with the hospitality of the Doubletree.”
Turkish national Birsen Kan was appointed Director of Operations and is well versed in hotel transitions from pre-opening to opening and spent 8 years with the Hilton family. In the role of Front Office Manager, Christine Manoukian is responsible for welcoming guests. Christine from Armenia has always been a professional client and loves to meet people.
Emirati Amnah Abdullah Alhefeiti leads the hotel’s people department as the Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, and she uses her sociology skills to manage the hotel’s team.
When it came to the hotel’s marketing and events, the role fell to Dina Haroon, a GC&E manager from Egypt experienced in the hotel market. As GC&E Executive, Dina will be supported by her UAE teammate Hend Suliaman Humaid. In addition to the senior female lead, Priyanka Krishnamurthy, as assistant marketing manager, came to the hotel from another international brand to help promote the hotel to guests and tourists.
“We are preparing for the opening and the team is making sure everything is in place. It is an exciting time and we look forward to meeting our first guests with our team,” concluded Jamwal.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City is about to open after the finishing touches are completed. – trade arab news agency
