Drayton Entertainment, an award-winning nonprofit theater company, is seeking young actors for its production of Drayton and St. Jacobs this summer.
The Youth Choir Program offers performers the opportunity to sing group ensemble repertoire with a professional lead singer. Auditions will be held at the Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy in Waterloo on March 5th.
“As a professional firm, we have a responsibility to develop future artists and citizens, and these programs are a great way for young people to gain valuable experience,” said Drayton Artistic Director Alex Mustakas . “We never cease to be amazed by the talent and enthusiasm displayed by our aspiring young performers, and we are delighted to see new faces as well as familiar faces in these auditions.”
Auditions will be used to determine various opportunities for participants, including youth choirs Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story At the Drayton Festival Theater and Children’s Choir Joseph and the Magical Colored Dreamsuit At the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse.
Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story
13-15 years old, active, dance trained teenagers who can sing freely in groups are invited to audition to play teenagers in the Youth Choir Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story. The show will run from May 24th to June 10th, with rehearsals starting on May 4th.Auditions will be held at Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy on Sunday, March 5th from 11am to 1pm, check-in and warm-up at 10:30 is
Joseph and the Magical Colored Dreamsuit
Teenagers aged 8-15 with strong singing skills and simple and free movements are invited to participate in the children’s choir audition. Joseph and the Magical Colored Dreamsuit. The show will run from July 12th to August 5th, with rehearsals starting on June 22nd.Auditions will be held March 5th from 2-4:30pm. At Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy, check-in and warm-up begins at 1:30 p.m.
Drayton Recreational Youth Academy is located at 145 Northfield Dr. W. in Waterloo, on the corner of Northfield and Parkside.
