Families in the UAE are gearing up for the upcoming spring break and holiday planning begins with it.
Spring break at most private schools (with a few exceptions) will begin on March 27, with schools reopening on April 10.
While taking time off during this time can help families unwind, working parents aren’t always able to take long-term vacations, especially since two weeks of spring break this year coincide with Ramadan.
So if you’re looking for somewhere to relax with the kids that won’t leave your pockets empty or require a long trip, check out the top six family-friendly spots you can enjoy in the UAE during spring break.
Burj Khalifa
The World’s Tallest Tower is definitely the place to be during spring break if you haven’t already.
The most popular landmark, this iconic tower offers an observation deck from which to witness the beauty of the entire city.

Children and adults alike can enjoy a visit at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo located in The Dubai Mall.
This place is home to more than 33,000 species of aquatic animals, including sand tiger sharks. Children often find walking through tunnels inside an aquarium both creepy and exciting.

Kite Beach offers plenty of fun with a skate park, outdoor trampoline and children’s play area.
Families can swim, collect seashells and enjoy breakfast or lunch at some of the famous restaurants there, or just pack a hearty breakfast hamper.
Parents can sit back and enjoy the kitesurfing show and view of the Burj Al Arab while the kids play in the sand.
City walks and a green planet

It can be called one of the most kid-friendly shopping areas. Green Planet at City Walk offers a fantastic opportunity for kids to immerse themselves in nature and wildlife in Dubai’s only indoor rainforest. Children get a great opportunity to get involved and improve their ecological skills.
Children will experience animal encounters and venture into tropical environments on sustainable exploration, geocaching and treasure hunting.
Dubai Safari
A must-see for the kids during the upcoming two-week holiday is the Dubai Safari Park, which is home to around 3,000 animals. The park is home to animals such as tigers, gibbons and moon bears, lions, elephants, giraffes, camels, arabian onyxes, Arabian wolves and mountain gazelles.
With the onset of summer, the park closes to protect the health of animals and visitors.
JumpX at Dubai Parks and Resorts
This place has the largest inflatable bouncy castle in the world. Spanning 1,262 square meters (13,584 square feet), it offers UAE residents another unique family experience.
Open daily from 2pm to 8pm, the park features many adventure areas, climbable walls, tunnels and obstacles spread across multiple levels.
