Dubai Police Seize 17 Tankers in Waste Disposal Case
Dubai Police seize 17 tankers after authorities uncovered illegal waste disposal activities across the emirate. The operation also led to legal action against 18 suspects linked to the violations.
The cases were identified during the first half of 2026 by the Environmental Crimes Section of Dubai Police’s Economic Crimes Department. The operation was conducted in cooperation with Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority.
Authorities found that harmful materials, including sewage and petrochemical waste, were being transported and dumped at unauthorised locations. Such waste must be handled and disposed of through approved facilities under Dubai’s environmental regulations.
Investigators worked to identify those involved in the illegal activities. Following the investigation, authorities took legal action against 18 suspects and confiscated 17 tankers connected to the reported violations.
