During IOSCO’s World Investor Week, ADX and other exchanges around the world sounded the alarm for financial knowledge

The Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange (ADX) welcomes Dr. Maryam Butti Al Suwaidi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), the UAE regulator, and other representatives to attend the Bell Ringing Ceremony of World Investor Week (WIW). WIW is a global campaign organized by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), focusing on the promotion of investor rights and financial knowledge. ADX and other members of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) rang the opening bell of the exchange on October 4, 2021.

As part of WIW, ADX is one of 78 exchanges from all over the world. They sound the alarm for financial literacy. WIW is a 7-day event led by IOSCO.

Ringing the bell is the latest initiative of ADX to promote financial education in the UAE. Since 2016, ADX has worked closely with students and teachers to improve financial knowledge across the region through a series of initiatives ranging from stock exchange competitions and simulations to research funding, market seminars and workshops.
