Edge, one of the world’s leading advanced technology and defense groups, has signed a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement with the Brazilian Navy to develop a state-of-the-art long-range anti-ship missile.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Saleh Ahmad Alsuwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Brazil, Mansour AlMulla, Managing Director and CEO of Edge, and several dignitaries from the Brazilian Navy led by Fleet José Augusto Admiral Vieira da Cunha de Menezes is in Brasilia for events celebrating the Brazilian Navy’s Day of Remembrance.
The agreement will see Edge become a strategic partner of the Brazilian Navy to jointly invest in the development of long-range anti-ship missiles and provide advanced solutions such as anti-jamming technology developed by Edge in the UAE. The Brazilian Navy will also use its fleet to support a comprehensive testing program for the new missile. The partnership underscores the parties’ shared ambition to be at the forefront of innovation and opens the door to export opportunities to key markets around the world.
