ABU DHABI, 15th June, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Arabic Center, ALC, under the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, DCT Abu Dhabi, is participating in the 32nd edition of the Doha International Book Fair to be held on 6 It will be held at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Center from 12th to 21st April.
ALC’s participation in the event is in line with its goals of promoting and advancing the Arabic language, introducing its publications and projects to new audiences, and exploring collaborations with stakeholders in the regional publishing, translation and creative content sectors.
The center will showcase its most notable book publishing projects, such as the Kalima Translation Project, which aims to reinvigorate the translation movement in the Arab world and offer readers a wider choice by translating books and literature into Arabic.
The ALC Pavilion allows visitors to browse its extensive publications, which include more than 400 titles in various fields.
This year’s Doha International Book Fair saw the participation of 500 publishers from 35 countries.
Now in its 32nd edition, the event was held under the slogan “Read We Rise” and featured the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the Guest of Honor.
