Emirates News Agency – Abu Dhabi Quality and Compliance Council announces performance index for operating sectors for the third quarter of 2022

ABU DHABI, 31st October, 2022 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC), in its operational division’s performance indicators, said it inspected 20,352 products to verify compliance with specifications and issued an 5,585 Certificates of Conformity Q3 2022, Personal Services, 128 Metrology Calibration Certificates, 230,000 Laboratory Tests Completed.

Dr Hilal Humaid Al Kaabi, Secretary General of the Council, said the QCC works in accordance with a strategic plan to strengthen its services in the areas of compliance and regulation to meet the needs of public and private sector partners.

He emphasized that the committee is keen to provide all services through the integrated electronic service system Tamm, which helps to improve work by reducing time and cost, in addition to expanding the scope of services to meet the needs of QCC partners by providing value-added services.

The performance report shows that from January 2022 to September 2022, the central testing laboratory completed more than 230,000 laboratory tests, involving food, liquid, water, medicine, medical equipment, building materials, transformer oil, environment, agriculture and Cosmetics and other vertical fields. .

The laboratory also conducted 160,436 laboratory tests for water, representing 70.6% of the total number of tests in 2022. In addition to 229 drug and medical tests, 45,684 laboratory tests for food and liquids were carried out, accounting for 20.1% of the tests. 6,565 building material tests, 6,532 power transformer oil tests, 6,612 environmental tests, 741 agricultural tests and 299 cosmetic tests.

In the third quarter, the Commission’s Marketing and Consumer Services segment verified 20,352 products for specification compliance, including 18,975 products inspected on site and 1,377 products on the online marketplace platform, 2,763 statutory measurement tools and 166 products Prepackaged product.

The Marketing and Consumer Services Department also recalled 3 substandard products from the market, of which 3,710 were rectified, 12 were rectified, involving 4,829, and 7 international recalled products were found to be sold in the country’s market.

During this period, the UAE Metrology Institute of the Council issued 128 measurement calibration certificates, conducted 81 standard comparisons of measuring equipment, implemented training programs, provided 7 consulting services, and issued 7 consulting reports.

According to performance indicators, Qualification and Regulatory Services issued 5,585 certificates of compliance for personal services and renewed 3,265 certificates, while 30 product registration certificates and 99 product compliance certificates were issued, as well as the issuance of 111 other certificates. 18 licenses using the trustmark and 79 other licenses updated.
