Emirates News Agency – Air Arabia plans to double capacity of its current fleet in next 12 months: Group CEO

ABU DHABI, 5th June, 2023 (WAM) — Air Arabia has revealed its plans to double the capacity of its existing fleet over the next 12 months, a move aimed at supporting leisure and business travel in Abu Dhabi market and its growing aviation needs.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM): “Tourism is one of the main pillars of the UAE economy. Abu Dhabi is an emirate with strong destination appeal, Our increased fleet size will continue to support the current strong inbound tourism, in line with the emirate’s long-term vision to increase regional and global visitor numbers.”

Asked about the airline’s expansion plans and utilization of innovative technological solutions, the group chief executive said: “Abu Dhabi Airways has taken a strategic approach to diversify its business and invest in innovative services to grow the market. The airline follows an equally strong strategy with a business model adopted by the Air Arabia Group that primarily focuses on providing value-added services at affordable prices while investing in the latest technology to expand market share.

“Dedicated to providing the highest quality service to our customers, we are exploring new agile technologies and services to enhance the customer experience and deliver a unique value proposition to all our passengers.

“With the emirate attracting a steady increase in business and leisure travellers, ongoing expansion plans will help serve more unique and fast-growing markets. By continuously expanding its tourism and cultural offerings and offering visitors a diverse, immersive and a wealth of experiences, Abu Dhabi is now a premier tourist destination in the region, with a well-developed aviation infrastructure and a strong tourism ecosystem.”

Sharing his expectations for the travel and aviation industry at the regional and global levels, Al Ali noted, “Despite ongoing economic challenges and geopolitical issues, 2023 remains an extraordinary year for the aviation industry. As travel The easing of restrictions marks a return to near normalcy for the global aviation industry, leading to strong passenger demand for air travel.”
