BEIJING, 10th December, 2022 (WAM) — The inaugural China-UAE Summit is an important milestone in the history of relations between the two peoples, Ali al-Dahri, UAE Ambassador to China, said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua.
Zahri explained that in recent years, the political and strategic mutual trust between China and the UAE has been continuously improved, and the UAE was one of the first countries to join the “Belt and Road” initiative and is now a “major logistics hub” in the Middle East and North Africa region under the “Belt and Road Initiative” .
He pointed out that the UAE accounts for more than 60 percent of China’s exports to the region, China is the UAE’s largest trading partner, and there are more than 6,000 Chinese companies in the UAE.

He said the UAE would “actively cooperate with China to strengthen multilateralism and create a more peaceful and prosperous world for mankind.”
Regarding the role of Chinese and Arab civilizations in enhancing mutual learning, cultural exchanges, and strengthening people-to-people bonds, he said that both the Arab world and China have rich cultures and long histories.
