DOHA, 5th March, 2023 (WAM) — Sheikh Hama, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, as representative of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Excellency De Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi chaired the fifth United Nations delegation to the International Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC5) in Doha, Qatar today.
The five-day conference will be attended by many world leaders, as well as representatives of the business community, civil society and youth.
Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, and Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, President of the Emir Court of Fujairah, attended the opening of the conference.
HH Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, said in his opening keynote address: least developed countries to achieve development in the next decade.”

Held every 10 years, this year’s meeting from 5-9 March 2023 will focus on bringing the needs of the 46 designated countries back to the top of the global agenda and supporting their efforts to return to sustainable development. on track.
The global conference seeks to accelerate sustainable development where international assistance is needed most, and to unlock the full potential of least developed countries, helping them make progress on their path to prosperity.
