ABU DHABI, 14th February, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, today received Abdul Fattah al-Bur, Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council General Hanzhong, he arrived in the UAE today for a working visit.
The meeting took place at the Bar Palace in Abu Dhabi, where President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Lieutenant General Al Burhan to the UAE, wishing the Sudan and its people stability, reconciliation and peace.
The two sides reviewed the UAE-Sudan brotherhood and opportunities to strengthen cooperation and cooperation in various fields.
The Chairman of the Sudan Transitional Sovereignty Council briefed His Highness Sheikh Mohamed on the development of the Sudanese political process.
His Highness affirmed the UAE’s support for various efforts and initiatives in the interest of the Sudanese people in terms of unity, construction, development and establishment of a new phase in which Sudan will enjoy stability and prosperity.
For his part, Lieutenant General Al Burhan thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed the UAE for its support to the Sudanese people in various situations and stages.
The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Al Dhafra; His Excellency Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in Al Ain; Abu Dhabi Executive His Excellency Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Committee; HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board, Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan His Excellency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Administrative Office; His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zayed People’s High Organization of Resolve (ZHO); and Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State.
