ABU DHABI, 23rd June, 2023 (WAM) — In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) UAE capital hub to launch groundbreaking second edition of Abu Dhabi Financial Week (ADFW) in November 2023 under sponsorship

ADFW 2023, scheduled for November 27-30, 2023, with the theme “Investing in an Era of Transformation,” builds on the success and solid foundations of the first edition. The event will seek to examine the factors affecting capital flows and monetary systems, the resulting services and facilities, and the industrial and social sectors that affect the global financial system, as it seeks collaborations to maximize opportunities and minimize challenges presented In this age of transition.

Taking place directly between the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and COP28, ADFW is expected to welcome a highly international and diverse audience of up to 10,000 business leaders from over 100 countries, including senior industry leaders, policy makers , regulators, investors and bankers. The four-day event will be broken down into four main sessions, three of which will be internal, namely the Abu Dhabi Assets Conference, the Abu Dhabi Fintech Conference, the RACE (Regulation, Awareness, Collaboration, Ecosystem) Sustainability Summit and An external conference, the Fortune Global Leadership Forum.

The grand opening ceremony of ADFW will be followed by the “Fortune Global Leadership Forum” conference gathering leaders of the world’s largest multinational companies, and the “Asset Abu Dhabi” investment management conference centered on asset allocators and asset managers. Will run until 28 November 2023.

This year’s Abu Dhabi Fintech Conference, to be held on 29 November 2023, will explore the intersection of technology and finance, including AI Forum, Risk and Security Forum, Blockchain Summit, Payments/Commerce Events and Regulation Agency summit. The final day of ADFW will host RACE, a sustainable finance event that explores the capital gap between the funds needed for net zero and the funds available, and innovative ways to bridge this gap.

Representing some of the strongest leadership in international finance, the event will feature iconic figures such as Ray Dalio, Founder, Bridgewater Associates; Jennifer Johnson, President and CEO, Franklin Templeton; and Jenny Lee, Midas List Ventures Investor and managing partner of GVV Capital. They also include Alan Howard, prominent hedge fund leader and co-founder of Brevan Howard Asset Management LLP; Sir Christopher Horne, founder of Children’s Investment Fund; and Jay Clayton, former chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The list also includes notables such as His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, Founder and CEO of KBW Ventures; Laura Shi, Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited; Ruchir Sharma, Rockefeller chairman; Fortune CEO Alan Murray; top independent analyst Benedict Evans; Wamda chairman and founder of Aramex Fadi Ghandour. Notable private equity CEOs such as Alec Gores, Antoine Flamarion and Paul Desmarais will also travel to Abu Dhabi for ADFW 2023, along with hundreds of speakers.

The event, which corresponds to several major global events in the MENA region, is expected to be one of the most important and wide-ranging investment and financial trade conferences on the financial industry’s world events calendar. The goal of ADFW 2023 this year is to scale up and continue to attract global markets to the falcon economy of the “capital of capital”.
