A new commemorative stamp has recently been issued, highlighting the importance of the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The stamp underscores Louvre Abu Dhabi’s pioneering status as a center of culture and human civilization, as well as a shrine to art, museums and cultural institutions.

The new stamps are in line with Emirates Post Group’s aim to document and highlight key features of the country’s monuments of civilization.

Louvre Abu Dhabi is a cultural landmark whose galleries showcase artworks that reveal human creativity throughout history.

Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group Chief Executive Officer, Emirates Post Group Corporation (EPGC), said: “Emirates Post Group is keen to showcase the UAE’s most famous landmarks by highlighting its artistic and cultural diversity. Monuments and institutions of culture and civilization, further cementing the UAE’s prominence on the international tourism map. We are delighted to partner with Louvre Abu Dhabi on this new stamp, which reflects the museum’s role as a major cultural institution in the region and global culture Prominence as a center for events, arts and exhibitions.”

The museum’s ancient and modern works of art tell the story of civilization and timeless human values.

The museum opened on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi in 2017 as part of a cultural agreement between the governments of Abu Dhabi and France.

It was designed by architect Jean Nouvel, who was inspired by the Arabian tradition, combining traditional Islamic architecture with French concepts and expertise.

Over the years, it has increasingly become a testing ground for new ideas in a globalized world and championing a new generation of cultural leaders.

Its international exhibits, programs and children’s museum are inclusive platforms that connect communities while providing fun for all.

Manuel Rabaté, Director of Louvre Abu Dhabi, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Emirates Post, the UAE’s oldest public service, on this incredible initiative and we are honored To be able to honor our museum with this iconic postage stamp.”

“This collaboration demonstrates our status as a leading cultural institution and a source of national pride. Similar to how Emirates Post connects people through its postal services, Louvre Abu Dhabi connects people through art, showcasing It demonstrates how our common creativity and humanity continue to transcend time, place and civilization,” Rabaté added.

The commemorative stamps will be available at all Emirates Post Customer Happiness Centers and online at www.emiratespostshop.ae.
