The ig Bad Voodoo Daddy will be rocking Carbon County later this month, making it one of the entertainment highlights at local and regional venues in the coming weeks.
The swing band, known for songs like “You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)” and “Go Daddy-O,” will play Penn’s Peak. The latter will also pay homage to the Eagles and AC/DC.
Patrick’s Day, the Mauch Chunk Opera House is hosting Celtic band The Tartan Terrors. The Opera House will also host tributes to Green Day, Led Zeppelin and other performances.
In Lehigh Valley, Rick Wakeman, Kenny Wayne Shepard and the Rascals will perform in Bethlehem, while Jay Leno brings his humorous style to Easton. Meanwhile, rock fans will catch a series of performances at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg.

• Dark Desert Eagles, March 17 at 8 p.m. Following the death of Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey in 2016, Pat Badger – an original member of Rock act Extreme – formed Dark Desert Eagles. The show features Eagles hits, as well as Joe Walsh’s solo hits.
• Live Wire, March 18 at 8 pm. Live Wire was formed in 2000 and hails from the New York metropolitan area, playing AC/DC music.
• Big Bad Voodoo Daddy March 24 at 8pm. The contemporary swing revival band formed in Ventura, California in 1989, including co-founders Scotty Morris and Kurt Sodergren. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has released nine studio albums, most recently “Louie Louie Louie” in 2017.

• The Tartan Terrors, March 17 at 8pm. Ian Irmisch founded Celtic Band in 1996 with his late sister Ellen – a fusion of music, comedy and dance. The group’s recordings include albums such as “Whiskey Before Breakfast” and “Cheers Tonight”.
• Letterbomb, March 18 at 8pm. Letterbomb plays the music of the punk rock group Green Day. “Letterbomb” appeared on Green Day’s 2005 album American Idiot.
• Start Making Sense, March 24 at 8pm. The band plays music by the art rock group Talking Heads, named after the Talking Heads’ 1984 live album and the Jonathan Demme film “Stop Making Sense”.
• Kashmir, March 25 at 8pm. Jean Violet founded the Led Zeppelin Tribute Band in New York in 2000, named after Zeppelin’s 1975 song of the same name.
• Rich Vos, March 31 at 8pm. Vos is a comedian and actor who began his stand-up career in 1984. Since 2011, Vos has co-hosted the podcast “My Wife Hates Me” with his wife, Bonnie McFarlane.
• Soulshine, April 1 at 8 p.m. The group consists of New York musicians and pays tribute to the Allman Brothers band. The latter released a version of the song “Soulshine” in 1994.
• Mystery City, April 6 at 7:30 pm. Classic rock tribute band formed in 2014 with members from Carbon County and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
• BStreetBand, April 7 at 8pm. The group formed in the Scranton/Hazleton area in the 1970’s to play the music of Bruce Springsteen.
• Beyond Purple, April 8 at 8 p.m. The Connecticut show featured early Deep Purple hits, as well as hits from Rainbow, Whitesnake and Dio.

• Ecospheres, March 24 at 7pm. Based on Jim Thorpe, this jazz/rock/funk fusion band includes Kyle O’Brien and Josh Martonyak. Ecospheres covers Herbie Hancock, Billy Cobham, Jeff Beck, and others.
• Nicholas Krolak “Correspondence” Release Party, April 1st at 7pm. The event marked the release of the musician’s “Correspondence” album. Bethlehem’s Mike Lorenz and Clarks Summit’s Tyler Dempsey will perform alongside Krolak.

• Rick Wakeman: His Music and Stories, March 30 at 8 pm. The west London-born keyboardist/composer was a casual musician early in his career. After a brief stint with the folk-rock group the Strawbs, Wakeman joined the progressive rock group Yes in 1971. Wakeman was an on-and-off member of Yes until 2004, and he has released dozens of solo albums.
• Kenny Wayne Shepherd April 1 at 8pm. The Shreveport, Louisiana-born blues singer-songwriter recently released a 25th-anniversary edition of his sophomore hit, “Truth Is ….” In 2013, Shepherd, Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg formed blues supergroup The Rides .
• The Rascals, starring Felix Cavaliere and Gene Cornish, April 7 at 8 p.m. Formed in Garfield, New Jersey in 1965, the blue-eyed soul-rock group had three No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Hot 100: “Good Lovin,” “Groovin,” and “People Got to Be Free.”
• Four by Four, April 11 at 2pm. The show features music from The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Bee Gees and Motown.

• Rael: The Peter Gabriel Experience March 24th at 8pm. Based in New York and northern New Jersey, the band pays homage to Genesis’s progressive rock years as well as Peter Gabriel’s solo songs. Rael was featured on Genesis’ 1974 album, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
• Life of Agony and Sick of it All, April 1 at 6:45 pm. Formed in New York City in the mid to late 1980s, the alternative metal band Life of Agony and the hardcore punk band Sick of it All, will perform.
• Silverstein, April 2 at 7pm. Formed in Burlington, Ontario in 2000, the rock band takes its name in reference to children’s author Shel Silverstein and has released 11 studio albums to date.
• The Sam Grisman Project, April 7th at 8pm. Grisman plays an early 1990s soundtrack produced by his father, David, with Jerry Garcia.
• One-Eyed Jack, April 8 at 7:30 pm. Formed in 1991, One-Eyed Jack is a psychedelic garage band that has released four albums to date.
• Dopapod, April 13 at 8pm. Formed at Boston’s Berklee College of Music in 2008, the impromptu rock band has five studio albums.
