The Etihad Rail passenger service has officially launched in the UAE, marking a historic milestone in the country’s transport network.
The first passenger route connects Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, allowing travellers to complete the journey in just 1 hour and 45 minutes. The launch offers residents and visitors a faster, more comfortable and sustainable alternative to road travel.
According to Etihad Rail, more than 10,000 tickets were sold before the service officially opened, reflecting strong public demand. Passengers can book tickets through the official Etihad Rail website and mobile app, with services now operating on the new route.
