March 19 (United Press International) — The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for the kidnapping of a great-grandmother who commutes between her Los Angeles and Mexico homes.
Maria del Carmen Lopez has been missing since February 9, when she allegedly kidnapped from her home Located in Pueblo Nuevo, Colima, Mexico. The 63-year-old is a Hispanic American citizen. She was 5-foot-2 and weighed about 160 pounds when she was last seen, according to the FBI. She also has permanent or tattoo eyeliner.

The FBI’s reward was information leading to Lopez’s actual location.
Lopez’s family Said they got in touch And was told to pay a large ransom in exchange for her. They believe she was abducted from her home by masked armed men.
“We were able to hear a recording of her begging us to help her,” Lopez’s daughter Zonia said, according to NBC News.
Lopez, a mother of seven, has lived with her husband in Mexico for about 10 years. She raised her children in Los Angeles. KTLA 5 Lopez’s husband was reportedly seeing a doctor when she was kidnapped.
“We do not believe this was drug-related, nor do we believe she was involved in criminal activity,” an FBI spokesman Laura Ameler Tell KTLA 5. “We do believe she was an innocent victim of kidnapping.”
