Female pilot strips, attacks crew: Here’s what happened mid-air on Abu Dhabi-Mumbai Vistara flight

An Italian female passenger has been booked for assaulting the crew and walking around topless on an Abu Dhabi-Mumbai Vistara flight. Let’s see what’s going on.

When she was questioned, she became aggressive and punched a crew member before walking down the aisle half-naked. Even after being stopped, she abused the crew.

“Even after she was restrained by the pilot’s order, there was no remorse on her face. The pilot felt like a threat after punching a crew member who came to question him,” said a person familiar with the matter.

It was also learned that she was even given a bottle of water when she was questioned, but she reportedly punched and kicked the crew member so much that her lip was cut and began to bleed. Soon, another crew member arrived on the scene and asked her to behave. “After being restrained, she also spat at a crew member and continued to abuse them throughout the trip,” said another person familiar with the matter.

“No other passengers were harmed in any way and the cabin crew handled the matter in a professional manner. Police also registered the passenger immediately after learning the details of the incident,” the airline said in a statement.

Before the plane took off, the woman asked an attendant for a bottle of water. The flight crew kept her in her seat and told her she would get a bottle of water once the flight took off.

She was given water shortly after the plane took off. However, she left her seat and sat in business class (1 A) and punched the crew when asked why she changed seats and if she needed anything else. The female crew member was bleeding profusely.

As soon as the captain learned of the incident, the unruly passenger took off some clothes and started walking around the cabin half-naked. She was then ordered to be restrained.

Upon arrival at Mumbai airport, she disembarked ahead of other passengers and was handed over to security personnel before she was registered by Mumbai police.
