The award is given to educators who demonstrate “excellence in teaching, research, community engagement and stewardship.” More than 200 educators from the United States, the Philippines and the Middle East attended the evening in New York.
Dr Sergio said: “Another highlight of my trip to New York was the signing ceremony for my Amazon bestseller The Case for Management: Organizations Thriving in the New Normal at two locations, the Oculus and the United Teachers Federation Building, Both are located in Manhattan, New York. Proceeds from my book will go to the Dr. Rommel Scholarship Program, which covers financial support for underprivileged college students in the Philippines.”
Dr Sergio, who went to New York to accept the award, told Gulf News: “As educators, our main task is to educate young people. Therefore, we must always be attracted to excellence in teaching, research and community service. Only then will we The goal of being an educator will make sense for today’s generation to follow.”
In addition to the award, Dr. Sergio is one of the speakers at the 2022 International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research on the theme “Voice and Choice: Inspired Educators and Empowered Learners”. His talk delves into “Mixed Approaches: An Educator’s Toolbox for the 21st Century.”
“The event is a platform to interact and share research capabilities and collaboration opportunities with educators from different parts of the globe,” said Dr. Sergio.
