DOE unveils 3D maps and building information modeling synchronized with its geospatial dashboard

“The heatmap will provide policymakers with actionable insights based on the energy and water use of buildings in Abu Dhabi,” Mohamed Al Hadhrami, a senior expert on energy and water efficiency regulations at the U.S. Department of Energy who has been working in the field for the past 15 years, told Khaleej Times; On the sidelines of a day-long demonstration of cutting-edge technology.
He said the authorities are working on several measures to ensure municipalities across Abu Dhabi can reduce water and electricity consumption by 32% and 20% respectively by 2030, in line with the UAE’s 2050 net-zero emissions target.
