This June, as part of a unique alliance between The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Mandarin Oriental, Vetro at The Oberoi, Mumbai will welcome Michelin-starred Chef Luigi Stinga of Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi, Presenting you with exquisitely crafted Italian gourmet experiences.
Chef Luigi Stinga’s culinary journey has included stints at two Michelin-starred restaurants, Don Alfonso, Quattro Passi, II Pelicano and Eta, as well as three Michelin-starred Piazza Duomo, all in Italy, where Chef Luigi Stinga brings his extensive skills and knowledge brought to Vetro at The Oberoi, Mumbai, 16-18 June 2023.
Born and raised in Naples, Chef Stinga studied under one of Italy’s most famous chefs, Antonio Guida, in the kitchen of the Mandarin Oriental in Milan, before being sent to South East Asia, and then as head chef in the UAE’s bustling capital, Talea, Abu Dhabi.
Luigi Stinga, Chef Luigi Stinga, Talea by Antonia Guida, Mandarin Oriental, Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi said: “Inspired by the ‘Cucina di Famiglia’, home-cooked cuisine, I was looking forward to presenting a simple yet extensive menu that includes Recipes like ravioli Agnello and Pastinaca – lamb and parsnip pureed ravioli, L’uovo Tartufo – slow-cooked eggs with black truffle, Sedano Rapa – celeriac in three consistencies, vegan sauce and black truffle, and of course Italy’s most popular Tiramisu, also known as “Tuscan Trifle”, a dessert originating from the Treviso region of Italy. I hope this innovative “Cucina di Famiglia” menu can be found at the Oberoi Mumbai Vetro in India delivers an outstanding culinary experience. I am always on the lookout for clever new flavors and culinary techniques to create classic Italian dishes, and I look forward to presenting the best of these in India’s dream city.”

A special menu curated by Chef Luigi Stinga will be served at Vetro, The Oberoi, Mumbai from Friday 16 June 2023 to Sunday 18 June 2023 for dinner.
