DUBAI, UAE: The final month of the year kicks off with a high-profile long weekend schedule. Shopping districts across Dubai, from landmark destinations to community centers, are celebrating the 51st UAE National Day with fireworks, cultural displays, storytellers, buskers and more.

Fireworks will light up the skies over the Bluewaters on December 2 at 8pm, but there’s plenty on the island’s entertainment menu. Emirati folk tunes will echo on the open avenue, while henna artists and local artisans maintain the traditions of their Emirati ancestors.
