Presented by leading yachting industry magazine BOAT International, the 2023 edition of the awards recognizes the best in boatbuilding, innovation and engineering across nine coveted categories. The Majesty 120 was awarded the Eco Award for its innovative energy-efficient heat recovery system. Gulf Craft has been developing new ways to improve the energy efficiency of its onboard systems and minimize electricity consumption, resulting in smaller generators and lower fuel consumption.
In partnership with Netherlands-based MAR-IX Advanced HVAC Systems, the new HVAC system has been developed and installed onboard the Majesty 120, along with a holistic approach to integrating other onboard systems.
These systems significantly reduce the electrical load on board, saving over 80,000 kW per year for essential systems such as hot water heating and fresh air reheaters. The significantly reduced electronic load ensures lower fuel consumption for generators and use of shore power, ultimately reducing the carbon footprint of the vessel, allowing for more sustainable operations and lower operating costs.
