India plans to send an astronaut to the moon by 2040

India plans to send an astronaut to the moon by 2040 and establish an Indian Space Station, named ‘Bharatiya Antariksha Station,’ by 2035, as directed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This follows India’s successful lunar mission, making it the first country to land a spacecraft near the moon’s south pole. In addition to lunar exploration, India is actively engaged in solar and crewed space missions.

Modi has encouraged scientists to explore missions to Venus and Mars, emphasizing the country’s ambitious goals in space exploration.
