Oscar-winning US actor Jamie Foxx recently opened up about a past medical emergency that put his health in the spotlight earlier this year. He described the experience as going through “hell and back,” but he is now back on his feet and able to work again.
In an Instagram message posted over the weekend, Foxx acknowledged that he had gone through something he never expected. Back in April, he was rushed to a medical facility in Georgia while filming a Netflix movie, but the details of his condition were kept private, leading to speculation about his health.
Addressing the rumors, Foxx clarified that he had been avoiding the public eye during his recovery, not wanting anyone to see him with medical tubes or uncertain about his survival. However, he assured his followers that he’s making progress, humorously demonstrating that his eyes and arms are functioning well.
In May, Foxx’s daughter Corinne confirmed that he had been out of the hospital for weeks and even resumed some activities like playing pickleball. Despite the tough journey, Foxx expressed his determination to return to work and promised to be seen more often in public.
Jamie Foxx, known for his acting, comedy, and Grammy-winning singing, earned an Academy Award in 2005 for his role in the Ray Charles musical biopic “Ray” and also received an Oscar nomination for “Collateral” in the same year.
