Seven-year-old Princess Charlotte is rarely seen in public, but when she is, she delights royal fans with her bubbly personality – a very different behavior from the rest of the royal family. She was even said to be the “oldest” of her older brothers, with one royal expert saying she held her five-year-old brother Louis by the side at King Charles’ coronation.
Charlotte – third in line to the throne – doesn’t appear in public very often, as Kate Middleton and Prince William have made it public that they want their children to have a normal education. But Charlotte has now been seen stealing the show with her hilarious antics – so much so that her mother Kate Middleton was downright mortified on at least one occasion.
In 2019, when the then four-year-old royal joined her parents at the famous regatta on the Isle of Wight, Kate invited her daughter to follow in her footsteps, waving to the crowd from the window.
But instead of following her mother’s example, Charlotte decided to stick out her tongue in an adorable and cheeky gesture that left royal fans flabbergasted. Kate appeared to be making faces at her daughter in an attempt to get her to stop before quickly talking to Charlotte to stop her, but cameras managed to capture the memorable moment.
Regarding the three children, royal expert Judy James said: “It is pointless for George, Charlotte and Louis to be warned to be good. Given the opportunity to participate and compete in a public arena, they’re going to do it with real enthusiasm.”
