Keith Urban Last week made a young fan’s dream come true.
The “One Too Many” singer brought a young woman onto the stage at her Oct. 13 concert in Savannah, Georgia, fulfilling her greatest wishes, and then some.

“I wanted to do something special tonight,” he told the crowd in the video, “because I heard the story of a young girl from Georgia who dreamed of playing guitar on stage with me.” He laughed Up, the crowd, apparently familiar with Rhodes’ goal, began to applaud, with a brief break in the video before he continued.
I found out her story and her journey and it was amazing; I think she started playing the guitar after listening to me and she is here tonight with her mom and dad but I want her to do what she wants The thing to do, is to play a song with me. Welcome to the stage of Destiny Rhodes! “
The country legend hugged the girl as she walked onto stage with one of the artist’s guitars, then led her to the other side, where he asked her to share with the crowd how she started playing the guitar.
“I’ve been playing since I was 13, but Keith was my musical influence,” she said. “I saw him on CMT saying, ‘I want to play like him one day.’ And here I am!” She raised her hands and laughed, and the crowd cheered her again.
“I probably don’t need to play,” Urban joked. “Why don’t you play for me and I’ll sing?”
Then the video skips to the middle of their “Without You” performance, Urban puts her name in the queue, “We found each other somehow, Destiny,” elicited another frantic reaction from the audience.
She sang a few lines with him, and at the end of the song, she raised her fist in the air in celebration. Urban gave her another hug and said, “I think, too, because this guitar looks good on you, you should keep that guitar.” Then he hugged her again.

Rhodes can be seen saying “Oh my God!” in the crowd before Urban crouches down to sign.
Of course, he couldn’t let her go without a selfie, took a few of the crowd behind them, and then gave her one last hug.
local news media WTO 11 Heard Rhodes’ story before the concert and shared more about her journey and goals to play with her favorite musicians. At 18 months old, Rhodes suffered a seizure while ill, causing brain damage. This leads to cognitive impairment, and being a fan of Urban has greatly aided her recovery.
She could almost play with him after winning the national guitar competition, but the Covid-19 pandemic forced them to meet and greet virtually instead. Still, her goal of doing so in person remains.
Rhodes’ sister commented on the video of the two of them, writing: “That’s my sister! ♥️Thank you, Keith welcomed her with open arms and with your music. She will never forget this special moment and how you became her friend over the years, even before you came face to face. you rock 🎸”
Other fans were amazed, with one commenting: “Keith, I just knew you’d touch Destiny! You’re such an artist and a person! I read her story first, so glad she got to meet you and be with you Play with you! 👏👏👏👏🎶🎸🎵🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️♥️🤩🤩”
“Not only are you a great musician, but a great person! Thank you ❤️,” another fan wrote.
As Urban says in the title of the video, “That’s what it’s all about.”
