Meghan Markle will not attend the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla next month with husband Prince Harry, but staff at Buckingham Palace are delighted with her decision.
Staff were reportedly “cheering that the circus won’t be in town” after it was announced that the Duchess of Sussex would not be accompanying Harry to the historic event in the UK.
Some critics believe that Prince Harry’s wife will not return to the UK anytime soon because she would be booed if she appeared in public. She allegedly feared facing media scrutiny.
“The truth of the matter is that the Duchess will never be able to attend the coronation,” a royal source told the Mirror.
She will not be coming to the UK to work on any new plays, much to the relief of palace staff. A source said palace staff were “cheering that the circus didn’t come to town”.
Harry’s trip to the UK is expected to be short, with the duke returning to California for Archie’s birthday celebrations. He will only attend the ceremony and not other coronation events.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward said Meghan’s move had “disappointed” family members who had hoped the Duchess would also attend.
