Middle East Design & Build Week and Middle East Manufacturing & Technology Expo kick off at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: His Excellency Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, Chairman Engineer, Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE), Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce Board Member, and Abu Dhabi Director General, His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, attended the Chamber with representatives from various ministries, high-level representatives and industry leaders Along with a number of distinguished officials, the Middle East Design and Build Week (MEDBW) and the Middle East Manufacturing and Technology Expo (MEMT) kicked off today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), UAE. These activities support the national goal of reforming the UAE’s industrial sector to achieve economic growth and strengthen the country’s influence in the global manufacturing landscape.

Organised jointly by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and CONNECT, MEDBW and MEMT provided an innovative platform over three days to showcase technological advancements in the UAE’s construction, design, manufacturing and industrial sectors. These activities are supported by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) as a supporting partner, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) as a strategic partner, the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (ADDCT) as a destination partner, Abu Dhabi Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) as venue partner, Etihad Airways as airline partner and leading government agencies and industry associations.

Speaking about the event, His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Said: “The Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy is focused on strengthening the emirate’s position as the most competitive industrial and manufacturing hub in the region. The strategy is expected to accelerate the industrialization of the UAE and boost growth in construction, construction, manufacturing and technology verticals. Development. Middle East Design and Build Week and Middle East Manufacturing and Technology Expo are both in line with government initiatives to promote industry development. We invite industry stakeholders to join forces to support the country’s Industrial Revolution and contribute to establishing the UAE as a manufacturing and construction powerhouse .”

National Domestic Value (ICV) programmes such as Action 300 Billion, Made in UAE and Made in Abu Dhabi aim to promote private sector participation in national economic development by localising key components. Production supply chain and initiatives to promote the development of the sector.

Ahmed Mohamed Al Naqbi, Chief Executive Officer of the UAE Development Bank, said: “The manufacturing and development of advanced technologies is at the forefront of the economic growth agenda set by the UAE government.
