Milkor UAE and Republikorp sign UCAV cooperation agreement in Indonesia – News

Abu Dhabi-based Milkor UAE recently signed an agreement with Indonesian Republikorp to research, develop and manufacture the Milkor UCAV in Indonesia.

The agreement involves the establishment of manufacturing facilities and technology transfer to Indonesia. The first aircraft will fly in Indonesia in 2024 and will be part of an indigenization plan developed by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, the companies said.

Julian Coetzee, CEO of Milkor UAE, said: “We are delighted to see our relationship in the aerospace market continue to grow and the partnership between Milkor and Republikorp will underpin our commitment to enhance the defense capabilities of the UAE and Indonesia.”

The Milkor UCAV is a male drone with a maximum take-off weight of 1,300 kg, capable of reaching an altitude of 30,000 feet and a range of 2,000 kilometers using satellite communications. The platform is weaponizable with a variety of ammunition options.
