Philippines: 42 airports on high alert due to bomb threats

The civil aviation authority of the Philippines announced on Friday that it has placed 42 airports on high alert in response to bomb threats.

The authority stated that “immediate enhanced security measures” were being put into effect at all commercial airports in the country while they verify the credibility of the threats.

These threats, conveyed via email, specifically targeted flights heading to Cebu, Bicol, Davao, and Palawan.
