RAK Welcomes Its Busiest First Half Ever For Tourism
Ras Al Khaimah tourism just had its strongest six months on record. More than 670,000 visitors travelled to the emirate between January and June this year, according to the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
That’s the best first-half performance the emirate has ever recorded, and officials say it reflects growing interest from both domestic and international travellers.
The growth comes as RAK continues expanding its hospitality offering, with new luxury resorts, mountain adventure spots like Jebel Jais, and beach destinations such as Al Marjan Island all drawing crowds.
Unlike Dubai and Abu Dhabi, RAK has built its appeal around a quieter, nature-focused travel experience, and that seems to be paying off. Authorities credit ongoing investment in infrastructure, hotels, and marketing campaigns for helping the emirate carve out its own identity on the global tourism map.
With more mega-projects reportedly in the pipeline, RAK looks set to keep building on this momentum through the rest of 2026. For an emirate once seen as Dubai’s quieter neighbour, these numbers suggest it’s becoming a serious destination in its own right.
