Rotana focuses on sustainable offerings at its hotels in UAE and beyond

Rotana has strengthened its commitment to reducing its impact on climate change. The group has implemented enhanced sustainable products across its properties in the UAE and beyondas the region will host COP28, the largest climate change conference of the year, in Dubai Expo City in November 2023.

The conference’s mission is to discuss practical, ambitious solutions and track progress in addressing the most pressing global challenges, Rotana actively strives to do its part and remains committed to reducing energy and water consumption, adopting clean technologies and optimizing operational efficiency. as part of its global corporate sustainability platform “Rotana Earth”, The group has increased recyclables by 8%, reduced landfill waste to 17%, and cut electricity consumption by 8%. In order to further raise environmental awareness, Rotana has also appointed Alexander Ghorayeb as Youth Sustainability Ambassador, a 17-year-old who shares the group’s passion for driving change and inspiring a sustainable future.
